"Gardens, scholars say, are
the first sign of
commitment to a community.
When people plant corn they're saying,
let's stay here.
And by their connection to the land, they are connected to one another."

One
of the responsibilities of a landscape designer is to be a good steward to
the land. In the current times of growth and booming construction, we must
secure our natural resources and use them wisely. Sustainable landscaping
employs these methods by the use of native, indigenous plants and/or
adaptable water-wise plants. Irrigation methods are paired down using
updated drip systems, allowing water to be applied directly on the plants
and not wasted to evaporation or run-off.
The
plantings are usually understated, but can be attractive with purposeful
design of colors and textures, basically replicating the best of Mother
Nature.
The sounds are for your
pleasure.
